Refractory laboratory

The activities that can be performed in this department are as follows:

• Conducting tests such as Retardation Under Load (RUL), Chemical Analysis, Density and Porosity (BD & AP), Cold Compressive Strength (CCS), Cold Flexural Strength (MOR), Service Temperature, Stable Linear Changes (PLC) ), phase analysis (XRD)

•  Refractory under load (RUL): determination of refractoriness under load up to a temperature of 1600 degrees for alkaline and non-alkaline refractories (evaluation of bricks in terms of thermal and mechanical load tolerance)

•  Stable linear changes (PLC): shows the characteristics of irreversible and permanent changes (both expansion and contraction) after heating compared to the initial length and is expressed as a percentage.

•  Investigating and studying the real causes of the destruction of refractories in the production line

Fireproof inspection includes:

•  Consulting in choosing a supplier according to the needs of the buyer

•  Counseling in contracting with emphasis on key points

•  Negotiating and coordinating with the representatives of the production units of the contracting party to develop a production plan and agree on standards, determining the accuracy level (AQL) and inspection method.

•  Attending the production units of the employer's contracting party and monitoring the production process

•  Coordinating the schedule of production and transportation of materials

•  Sampling and tests required according to the standard at the manufacturer's factory

•  Inspection of appearance properties and dimensions of products (Visual Test)

•  Conducting chemical tests and cold and hot physical properties according to the common standards of ASTM, BS, BS-EN DIN, ISO, JIS

•  Inspection of packaging

•  Issuance of shipping certificate for approved products

•  Preparation of a report on the results of sampling for each ready-to-ship shipment

•  Expressing technical opinion regarding the degree of compliance of the offered products with the subject of the contract and in case of non-compliance, announcing the amount of deviation
